Real estate data firm CoreLogic has put out new data finding that the cash sales share of Fresno home transactions was up 1.5 percent in June compared to last year.

Cash sales accounted for 22.9 percent in June — lower than the 29.3 percent national rate for the month.

Nationally, June marked the first time the cash sales share has been below 30 percent since late 2007. The peak was January 2011, when 46.6 percent of home sales were in cash.

If the cash sales share continues to fall at the same rate it did in June, the share should hit 25 percent by mid-2018.
