The Fresno Arts Council is taking nominations to award the contributions of artists and supporters of the arts in the community.

The 40th annual Horizon Awards will be presented at the council’s third annual State of the Arts at The Grand building in Downtown Fresno on October 19, 2025.

The State of the Arts event acknowledges the vibrant work being done in the art community, from the impact artists make, to new arts opportunities for the field.

The Horizon Awards recognize individuals, organizations, and businesses that have made significant contributions toward the enrichment of life in Fresno County through excellence in the arts.

To nomination categories are: artist, business, educator, and youth.

Nominations must be submitted to the Fresno Arts Council by July 18, 2025.

The award for the business category is given to businesses whose encouragement and patronage have helped broaden the interest and support of the arts in Fresno County.
