Formerly known as Kaplan College, Brightwood College in Fresno will host an open house for members of the local business community on Friday to celebrate the rebranding.

The college was acquired by Education Corporation of America (ECA) earlier this year and will celebrate the transition with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. at 44 Shaw Ave. in Clovis.

Guests are invited to meet with faculty and staff, enjoy tours of the campus, mimosas, coffee and breakfast food items.

“The Brightwood College name represents a cornerstone for opportunity and growth for our students and the entire community,” said Noha Elbaz, campus president of Brightwood College in Fresno. “We are delighted to host an open house for the business community to showcase the new possibilities created by the close alignment of Brightwood programs and those offered at ECA’s Virginia College which currently has 27 locations across the United States.”

Those interested in attending the open house event are encouraged to RSVP by emailing fresno.rsvp@brightwood.edu.

Based in Birmingham, ECA has a current enrollment of more than 30,000 students across its 72 campuses. Its holdings include Virginia College, Golf Academy of America, Ecotech Institute, Kaplan College, Brightwood Career Institute, Brightwood College and the fully online New England College of Business.
