The Porterville Chamber of Commerce has named its 2025 Nonprofit of the Year, honoring The Exchange Club for its commitment to the community.

The Exchange Club of Porterville has served the community for more than 60 years, supporting youth, veterans, families and public safety initiatives throughout the area.

The club is volunteer-run and hosts a number of events annually including the annual Veteran’s Day Parade, heralded as the longest-running Veterans Day parade in the U.S. The club also organizes National Night Out and the Battle Cross Memorial at Porterville High School.

In addition to its community service the club fosters local leadership, meeting weekly and partnering with local organizations. The club also assists in mentorship programs through the student-led Excell Club at Granite Hills High School.

The Porterville Chamber of Commerce will celebrate all of its honorees at its Annual Awards & Installation Ceremony on Nov. 21 at the Veteran’s Memorial Building, located at 1900 W. Olive Ave., in Porterville.

The event will also showcase the Chamber’s Woman & Man of the Year, Large & Small Business of the Year. Tickets start at $80, with tables available for $600. Sponsorships for the event are also still available.
