The Tulare County Supervisors will consider on Tuesday whether to change the zoning on a parcel just south of Visalia to allow construction of a new Derrel’s Mini Storage there.

Currently, the 14-acre parcel on the east side of Mooney Boulevard, south of Avenue 264, is zoned exclusively for agriculture.

A county Resource Management Agency report states that the applicant – identified only as Derrel’s Mini Storage/Tulare – is asking that the land to be zoned for general commercial use and that the county alter its land use designation for mixed use.

Further details about the planned development weren’t immediately available.
