The Clovis Chamber of Commerce is hosting an informational session for students in grades 6-12 and their families interested in the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) on Sept. 1.

YEA! Is a 30-week program that guides middle and high school students through launching and running their own businesses.

Attendees will learn about the structure, curriculum and student application process for the program, as well as how business leaders can get involved as mentors, guest speakers, field trip hosts or investors. YEA! alumni will also be present to share their first-hand experiences.

This is the fourth year the Clovis Chamber of Commerce is offering the program. Last year, a group of three Clovis YEA! students made it to the national finals, pitching their business Muzikguru, an online community to connect students to music instructors.

The informational session is from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clovis Community College’s Herndon campus at 390 W. Fit Ave. in Clovis, room 308.
