“Traffic, which is already congested there, is likely to increase significantly along Friant Rd.,” according to a city news release.
The situation is exacerbated by ongoing construction of Friant Road repaving and Bus Rapid Transit construction on the west side of Highway 41.
“We encourage drivers who normally use the Friant/41 exit to consider using the Herndon/41 interchange as an option while construction is going on,” according to the city.
