If you parked in Downtown Fresno after 6 p.m. on April 7, you may have received a city-issued parking ticket in error.

The City of Fresno announced Friday that a software problem led visitors to receive parking tickets that shouldn’t have been issued.

The city didn’t disclose the number of erroneously issued tickets in a news release Friday afternoon.

“The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused visitors who were in Downtown Fresno on Thursday,” according to the release.

Downtown meters and all parking garages are in operation this weekend for a number of major events including the continuing run of “Hamilton” at the Saroyan Theatre and the return of Grizzlies baseball at Chukchansi Park.

If you believe you received a ticket in error, please call 621-PARK (7275).
