Cell phone waiting area reopens at FYI

The newly expanded Cell Phone Waiting Area at Fresno Yosemite International Airport has reopened.  

Located near the airport terminal, the free waiting area accommodates those waiting to pick up arriving passengers. 

At triple its former size, the reconfigured layout provides for ample parking during peak flight arrivals. 

The cell phone lot expansion is part of the Employee Parking Lot and Ground Transportation Facility project, which is expected to be completed in August.  The project incorporates LED lighting and vehicle charging stations for airport employees. 

Access to the waiting area is located slightly past the airport entrance on the right side of the roadway just before the curve and is marked with blue signage. Drivers leave the cell phone area when their passenger has exited the airport terminal and is ready curbside.
