More transition is coming to the Greater Fresno Area Chamber of Commerce as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Anna Borgeas prepares to depart after nearly six years.

Anna Borgeas said she is planning to spend some time with family. She is married to Fresno County Supervisor Andreas Borgeas, and the couple have two young boys.

Her last day with the chamber is April 1.

She spent her tenure working under President and CEO Al Smith, who also prepares to leave the organization after 10 years. Smith has been aiding the transition of Nathan Ahle as the new chamber president.

Ahle recognized Smith and Borgeas at the chamber’s Eggs and Issues breakfast this morning, with the room full of dignitaries and business leaders offering a standing ovation.

Anna Borgeas said she is happy with the chamber’s recent restructuring, and felt the timing was right to spend more time at home.
