Fresno County Supervisor Andreas Borgeas will host a community meeting on traffic mitigation and public safety measures for Ashlan Avenue this evening at the Fig Garden Swim & Racquet Club.

“Due to the high incidence of accidents and injuries in this area we will present a Draft Proposal on speed mitigation and public safety measures, which will include the implementation of traffic calming features and safe pedestrian crossings,” Borgeas said in statement.

The meeting will run from 6-7:30 p.m. at 4722 N. Maroa Ave.

All members of the public are welcome to attend.

Borgeas represents District 2, which includes Ashlan Avenue between West and First avenues. The Old Fig Garden area is included in District 2.
