Two Central Valley agricultural service companies are joining forces as growers face mounting pressure to maximize water efficiency and reduce costs.
Bennett West, a Selma-based provider of water, plant health, and energy solutions, announced a strategic partnership with Madera Pumps, bringing together two companies with nearly a century of combined experience serving the region’s agricultural operations.
The partnership allows Bennett to offer a more comprehensive approach to water management by combining Madera Pumps’ expertise in flow control with Bennett’s irrigation, plant health, and energy solutions, including its GridRelief energy-management program.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the Madera team to Bennett,” said Tyler Bennett, CEO of Bennett. “They’re a natural fit for us – we share deep roots in the Central Valley and the same commitment to helping growers succeed in an increasingly challenging environment. By joining forces, we’re able to better meet customer needs and deliver more impactful, turnkey solutions.”
Founded in 1977, Madera Pumps provides pump sales, service, and testing, along with well rehabilitation and repair services to agricultural operations, municipalities, irrigation districts, and commercial customers across California’s Central Valley.
The move comes as Bennett expands beyond its Central Valley foundation into new geographies. The partnership also represents the latest development for Madera Pumps, which in 2023 partnered with Alpine Investors through the private equity firm’s water services platform, Axia Water. That partnership provided Madera with additional capital for growth and infrastructure investments.
Bennett, founded in 1929 and now led by fourth-generation CEO Tyler Bennett, previously partnered with Reedley crop care advisor Gar Tootelian in 2020 to form Gar Bennett. That venture split in July 2025 as the companies pursued different business strategies.
