The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District is currently accepting applications for an open seat on its Environmental Justice Advisory Group.


The group provides advice and guidance to the District for implementing its Environmental Justice Strategy. With this policy, the District aims to ensure all San Joaquin Valley residents benefit from healthier air as a result of the operation or execution of its programs, policies and activities. 

There are 13 seats within the advisory group and applications are sought for an at-large county representative for Fresno. Interested applicants need to be residents of the San Joaquin Valley and must have experience and interest in representing ethnic or low-income communities. 

Applications can be submitted to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District at 1990 E. Gettysburg in Fresno. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Friday, April 21.
