Monster trucks, motorcross, beer, wine and cars are among the plans announced Monday by The Big Fresno Fair for the grandstand area in the absence of horse racing this year.

This year will feature the debut of the two-day Big Fresno Fair Rodeo (Oct. 3-4), the Arenacross Nationals (Oct. 10), Big Fresno Fair Car Show (Oct. 11) and Monsters of Destruction Monster Trucks (two Shows on Oct. 12), plus a returning favorite in the 10th Annual Beer & Wine Fest (Oct. 11) — all taking place in the Brian I. Tatarian Grandstand.

“This year, we’re bringing a new level of energy and entertainment to the Grandstand with a lineup of action-packed events for the whole community to enjoy,” said Christina Estrada, CEO of The Big Fresno Fair. “Our team has worked hard to curate a dynamic mix of motorsports, rodeo and high-thrill experiences that offer something fresh for Fairgoers of all ages. We’re proud to introduce these new events and create exciting new memories for our Fairgoers.”

Tickets to the grandstand events will be available first through an exclusive online pre-sale for Big Fair Fan (BFF) Club members beginning Monday, July 14 at 10 a.m. through Sunday, July 20 at 11:59 p.m. During the pre-sale, members can also purchase a Fair admission ticket at 50% off with any grandstand event ticket purchase made in the same transaction.

Tickets go on sale to the general public (online only) starting Monday, July 21 at 10 a.m. at FresnoFair.com.

Horse racing has been part of The Big Fresno Fair for more than 120 years, but that streak ends in 2025 with decisions by the California Horse Racing Board and California Authority of Racing Fairs that also affect several other Northern California racing fairs.
