Local vintners and distillers are once again calling for folks who enjoy the finer things in life to venture out this weekend to the Fresno County Wine and Chocolate Lovers Weekend.

The event this Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 1-2) includes 17 locations where participants can sample treats, wine and spirits. Participants include A. Nonini Winery, LoMac Winery, Engelmann Cellars, Kings River Winery, Ramos Torres Winery, Two Ravens Brewery and more.

Advanced purchase wristbands cost $40 and are available for purchase online until noon on Friday, Jan. 31. Tickets will be available at the door of every participating location for $50. A Sunday-only wristband costs $30.

The event is hosted twice annually by the Vintners and Distillers of Fresno County, which was formed as the Twin Rivers Vintners Association 20 years ago to educate people about the wineries and breweries in the region. The name of the organization was changed in 2018 to include local spirits located along the Fresno County Wine Journey.

This will be the first event for 2025. The last one held was the Fall Harvest Wine Journey Nov. 9-10, 2024.

All tasting participants must be 21 or over, and tasters are reminded to always have a designated driver or professional transportation service. Designated drivers do not need a wristband, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase.

Participants are reminded to bring their own glass for sampling.
