Northern California-based tool outlet Fasteners Inc will hold a soft opening for its first Fresno location Dec. 1.

The store will be located at 5611 N. Blackstone Ave. in the space previously occupied by Rasputin Music, which moved to the building next door under the name Mad Monk in 2021. The building, formerly owned by Rasputin, is now owned by Eisner Fourchy Development.

Fresno’s Fasteners location will be the seventh location for the Redding, California-based company.

“We put an emphasis on selling premium, quality tools and supplies that can be harder to find in person, like Festool, Knipex, Wera, Occidental Leather, as well as a very wide selection of DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Makita power tools and accessories,” wrote Nathaniel Bell, Fasteners CFO and sales director, in an email.

Bell said the market size in California urged the company to pursue the Central Valley location. Prior to the Fresno Fasteners Inc, the nearest store was located in San Jose.

Fasteners has one location in Medford, Oregon.

Bell said the company has been searching for a Fresno location for almost three years.

Fasteners hopes to continue expansion in the Central Valley in the future, but Bell said further expansion would likely be a long-term goal.

The new location hopes to hire up to two more employees, with Bell adding that the store will employ four to five people.

The store will celebrate its official grand opening, which will include a sale, on Jan. 1, 2023. Regular operating hours will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
