A new north Fresno restaurant from the partners behind Heirloom, Lime Lite and Butterfish is expected to open soon — promising a culinary interpretation of “Napa Valley meeting Mexico City.”
And the highly anticipated eatery now has a name — Saizon.
Sources say an opening is imminent in the shopping center located adjacent to The Residences at The Row luxury apartment complex at the corner of Shepherd and Willow avenues. The address is 2894 E. Shepherd Ave.
A lease agreement was signed in October for the 5,489 square foot building, naming BLK Sheep Hospitality Group as the tenant.
The group, run by partners Brandon Smittcamp and Kevin Koligian, also owns popular Fresno restaurants including Lime Lite, Heirloom and Butterfish.
Koligian declined to comment about the new eatery, but the restaurant’s website states Saizon will “serve contemporary American cuisine with Mexican influences & a distinct California point of view.”
“It represents the flavors that blend deep-rooted traditional techniques with new flavor combinations and unique presentation,” according to the website. “Our beverage program features craft cocktails that mirror our cuisine, letting high quality ingredients shine. All of this is served up in a vibey atmosphere with a focus on energetic hospitality.”
An Instagram page for Saizon has 527 followers and zero posts.
Saizon is seeking applicants for a range of positions including hosts, bussers, servers and bartenders.
The Row shopping center will also see Fresno’s second Capriotti’s location early next year, as well as several other businesses that opened this year including Ampersand Ice Cream, La Dama Salon and Revival 23.
