A Fresno truck sales and service dealer has a new name to complement a change in its ownership structure.
The Howard and Pollack families have owned Central Valley Truck Center — with locations in Fresno, Bakersfield, Paso Robles and Salinas — since 1980. With the Pollack family becoming the sole owner of the second-generation family business, the dealer will offer Mack and Volvo brands, with the Freightliner and Western Star brands being separated out of the existing business.
“The Pollacks have been great partners over the years and have done an outstanding job representing the brands,” said former owner Doug Howard, in a statement. “It is exciting to see the new direction they are taking. We wish them nothing but the best.”
The dealership will now be known as Affinity Truck Center.
“The name Central Valley Truck Center was based on geography and didn’t truly capture who we are as a company today,” said Kim Mesfin, co-owner of Affinity Truck Center, in a statement. “Our new name — Affinity Truck Center — reflects our values of putting customers and employees first. Their success drives our success.”
The company’s new website address is www.affinitytruck.com.
