The Central Valley’s “startup” homebuilder is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

San Joaquin Valley Homes was the new kid on the block in 2013 when industry veterans Joe Leal, Jim Robinson and Randy Merrill founded the company in Visalia.

San Joaquin Valley Homes recently closed its 3,500th home. In the beginning, the team had less than 10 people. Today, San Joaquin Valley Homes employs 85.

“As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we are immensely proud of the journey we’ve undertaken,” said Leal in a news release. “Our employees’ unwavering dedication and hard work have been the driving force behind our success. Their commitment to excellence continues to propel San Joaquin Valley Homes to new heights.”

So far in 2023, San Joaquin Valley Homes has pulled 143 new home permits in the Central Valley, ranking it fifth among local homebuilders for permit volume. It builds homes in Visalia, Tulare, Hanford, Kingsburg and more.

“Our success is built on a foundation of trust, and we are honored that our customers have chosen us to build a home for their family,” said Merrill. “We are dedicated to being the best at what we do, and we take great pride in building quality homes and neighborhoods that families can cherish for generations. We will be here to support our customers for many years after they’ve moved in.”
