The Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board Business Services Center is hosting a seminar on workplace violence prevention in the Fresno Small Business Administration building on May 10.
The seminar will include information on how to address various legal, human resource and public defense practices to ensure workplaces are safe.
Topics that will be covered at the event include effective policy implementation for emergency response, legal issues on violence in the workplace, recent trends and terrorism, situational awareness, active shooter defensive training, survival actions, and law enforcement and emergency medical services response and the aftermath.
Speakers for the event include Executive Director of Sierra HR Partners, Retired Deputy IV for Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Les Van Meter, and Retired Sergeant for Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Daniel Cervantes.
The seminar is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 pm and is free to attend. The address is 801 R. St. in Downtown Fresno.
