Central Valley chickens will have yet another road to cross with the grand opening of a second Raising Cane’s restaurant in Visalia on Tuesday, July1, featuring giveaways, free food and more.
The popular Louisiana-based fast food restaurant has expanded into the Central Valley since the grand opening of its first Visalia location in August 2021. Since then, the restaurant opened its Clovis location in 2021 and three additional restaurants in Fresno from 2022 to 2024, including locations near River Park, Marketplace at El Paseo and Kings Canyon Road.
Raising Cane’s also opened a Tulare location on Prosperity Avenue in 2021.
Tuesday’s grand opening will feature a “Lucky 20” drawing, awarding 20 customers 13 and older free Cane’s for a year. The first 100 customers to purchase a box combo will receive a free commemorative hat and box combo card.
Community representatives will also be in attendance, with appearances by Fresno State mascot Time Out, Visalia Rawhide mascot Tipper the Bull and the College of the Sequoias cheer team and mascot, Giant, as well as a DJ.
The restaurant aims to engage the Visalia community with locally curated memorabilia on display, including vintage relics from local high schools paying homage to some of the region’s notable faces.
Like many Cane’s locations, the new restaurant will feature a double-lane drive-thru for faster service during peak hours.
“We’ve heard the call from our neighbors in Woodlake, Cutler, Orosi and Dinuba to bring more of our unmatched Craveability to north Visalia and we’re elated to open the doors to our newest Restaurant and meet the demand of our growing fanbase of Chicken Finger fanatics in the area,” said Area Leader of Restaurants Taylor Day. “We’ve accomplished a lot of goodwill and partnerships since debuting in the area four years ago, and we look forward to forging even more connections in this beloved community with the opening of our second Visalia restaurant.”
Raising Cane’s newest Visalia restaurant is located at 542 W. Riggin Ave., in Visalia, and is open from 9 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and features extended hours Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.
