A Campus Pointe staple is celebrating its tenth anniversary this Wednesday and is inviting customers to celebrate the event by giving back to the community, partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to help feed families of children hospitalized at Valley Children’s Hospital.

As part of its celebration, 10% of all proceeds will benefit the charity, with Ronald McDonald signature red-and-white-striped socks also available for $10. The event will also feature T-shirt and gift card giveaways and live music and line dancing led by 93.7 Kiss Country’s Tammy V from 5 to 7 p.m.

“We are a family business that has been part of the Central Valley community for generations,” said Jon Benevedes, owner of Campus Pointe Wahoo’s Fish Taco’s. “Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley is close to our hearts as we believe that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child.”

RMHC Central Valley Executive Director Kent Karsevar said the partnership will help keep families close to their children during their treatment at Valley Children’s, reducing costly trips to and from medical facilities.

“There are so many ways to support RMHC through Campus Pointe this month, and we’re incredibly grateful for this partnership,” Karsevar said. “Wahoo’s Fish Taco and the Campus Pointe community are shining examples of what it means to show up for families during some of the hardest moments of their lives.”

In addition to Wednesday’s fundraiser, RMHC will also partner with The Bar Method Fresno on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 9:30 a.m., hosting a $10 donation-based exercise class on the grassy lawn at Campus Pointe.
