Visalia-based QK announced Tuesday its acquisition of VSM Engineering in Kansas City, Missouri, expanding its services and resources for clients.
Combined, the firms have a team of over 150 experts, and will provide their clients with continued service and technical expertise, according to a news release.
QK is an award-winning provider of civil engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, land-use planning and more. It was founded in 1972 to serve municipalities and has expanded to public and private clients.
VSM Engineering has built its reputation on civil engineering, stormwater management and utility coordination expertise, according to the release. With more than 20 years of experience, VSM has contributed to the Kansas City region’s public and private capital projects focused on sustainability, community impact and integration with the natural environment.
A woman-owned business, VSM Engineering has a reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in civil engineering and surveying projects across various sectors, according to the release.
Civil Engineer Valerie McCaw is president of VSM Engineering. She founded the firm in 2003, and in 2005 it was part of the team that designed the T-Mobile Center arena in Kansas City.
