The chamber’s Leadership Visalia class of 2017 will co-host the event to raise funds for leadership education programs in the city.
This year’s tournament will include a putting challenge; a closest-to-the-hole challenge, a hole-in-one competition and a longest drive competition, along with a “gunshot bump-up” hole game.
In that game, “The golf course has this gun, they load a golf ball into it, they shoot it and wherever [the ball] lands, you tee off from. It’s one of the games we’re going to do at one of the holes. It makes life more interesting,” said Nicola Wissler, education workforce development manager for the chamber.
There also will be prizes for the top finishers of the tournament, as well as raffles for donated goods and services.
The cost to play is $125 for individuals, who will be divided into teams through name drawings. Teams of four can register for $600.
