California Health Sciences University (CHSU) will graduate its second and largest cohort of medical school and master’s program students this weekend.

Some 131 graduates — including 109 medical students — will walk the stage to receive their diploma Sunday at the Save Mart Center with friends and family in attendance for the commencement and hooding ceremony.

Last year, 66 graduates of the CHSU College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) received their doctoral medical degrees as the inaugural class.

CHSU celebrated a 100% match rate for its class of 2025 medical students, connecting them with clinical training programs as medical residents. Some 60% of the residencies are in primary care. A total of 71% are located in California and 23% in the Central Valley, according to a news release.

“We are proud to advance our mission to improve access to healthcare by educating and training physicians to serve the Central Valley and beyond. I’m so proud to see our second cohort of physicians graduate and serve as compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled health care providers,” stated John Graneto, DO, dean of the CHSU-COM.
