The City of Tulare, Tulare Chamber and Adventist Health have partnered to unveil the new Adventist Health Amphitheater, joining together to celebrate the history of Tulare with a community attraction estimated to draw up to 50,000 visitors annually.

Located at the corner of M Street and Tulare Avenue, the amphitheater with capacity for up to 6,000 will feature a stage with tiered seating, lighting and landscaping and a new playground complete with a splash park.

“This event celebrates the significant rebirth of Zumwalt Park, a historical gem in the heart of Tulare, and reinforces Adventist Health’s commitment to enhancing community well-being through this transformative partnership,” according to a news release from Adventist.

The amphitheater, which is still being completed, was approved in 2023 by the Tulare City Council. The groundbreaking for the project took place last November.

On Friday, an event celebrating the unveiling of Adventist Health Amphitheater will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the International Agri-Center as part of the State of the City & State of the County Event hosted by the Tulare Chamber.

The project was managed and inspected by 4Creeks of Visalia and constructed by Caliber Contracting Services, Inc., out of Fresno, at a cost of approximately $12 million.

Spade Entertainment in Tulare will produce concerts at the venue on behalf of the city. The inaugural event will be Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m. with Tulare Country Nights, featuring Canaan Smith, RaeLynn and Clay Walker.
