Tulare County Fire Department investigators seized 752 pounds illegal fireworks from a house outside the city of Visalia.
Before the 4th of July weekend, Tulare County Fire Department Investigators received a hot tip regarding illegal fireworks brought into the county within the last week.
Investigators, along with units of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department, delivered a search warrant to the property on the 15000 block of Walter Avenue outside of Visalia on Tuesday.
Investigators found the illegal fireworks in the home and two vehicles on the property. A weapon was also recovered, according to a news release.
Two suspects were arrested for possession, transporting and selling illegal fireworks and two others on the property were arrested for unrelated charges.
Earlier this week the Tulare County Fire Department (TCFD) responded to a report of a grass fire that was caused by illegal fireworks, and last year the TCFD responded to 14 calls regarding illegal or careless use of fireworks.
