A local radio host has released his autobiography, sharing insights into his journey from his full-circle life in the music industry to his redemption in the Central Valley.
In the memoir — “All Over the Place” — Trevor Carey, host of “The Trevor Carey Show” on PowerTalk 96.7 FM, shares his story, from learning radio with his father to his battles with addiction, to major hip-hop promotions with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Common, 3-6 Mafia and Fat Joe.
Carey, who walked away from his career following self-reflection brought on by his nine-year-old son, reflects on his decision to, nearly a decade later, find stability, purpose and home in the Valley.
“After being all over the place—literally and figuratively—for decades, the Central Valley gave me something I’d never found anywhere else: community, stability, and home,” Carey said. “This book is honest about the mistakes, the addiction, the industry corruption, but ultimately it’s about redemption and how God never leaves us.”
Carey’s show, which airs weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m., reaches local listeners, including key decision makers, business owners and other professionals in various industries.
Carey has partnered with A Book Barn in Clovis, continuing the support Carey has received from the community for nearly a decade, which he elaborates on in his autobiography.
“All Over the Place” is available at trevorbooks.com and A Book Barn in Clovis.
