The Fresno Grizzlies announced Friday that the Thomas Rhett concert scheduled to take place Oct. 20 has been canceled.

Rhett was first announced to perform in Fresno in April, scheduled to perform with special guest and rising star Conner Smith.

“The Thomas Rhett performance that was scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 20, at Chukchansi Park, has been canceled,” a statement posted to the Grizzlies website reads. “Refunds will be offered at point of purchase.”

Rhett, who has marked 22 No. 1 singles and 15 billion streams, was added to the events list at Chukchansi for the “Music on the Diamond” tour, a tour put on by T-Mobile in partnership with Diamond Baseball Holdings — a minor league baseball ownership and management group that operates 36 minor league baseball teams throughout the United States and Canada.

The “Music on the Diamond” tour is a first-of-its-kind tour from Diamond Baseball Holdings; the owner acquired the Grizzlies last November.

Chukchansi will still host its annual Taco Truck Throwdown in November, featuring performances by Larry June and Coyote. The venue has drawn appearances from well-known recording artists such as T-Pain and Busta Rhymes, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fashawn and more.
