Fresno State Athletics and the Bulldog Sports Network will once again partner to bring Bulldog Football Hour back to The Point Patio & Bistro this season, featuring the Voice of the Bulldogs Paul Loeffler starting tomorrow and every Wednesday from 6 – 7 p.m. throughout the football season.

The show, now in its fourth year at The Point, features some of the top names at Fresno State including week one guests Head Coach Tim Skipper and Offensive Captains Mikey Keene and Mose Vavao.

Loeffler, who has hosted the show for the last 15 years, said that the atmosphere is great for fans and supporters who want to directly interact with the coaches and players, giving guests the chance to ask questions and interact with some of the brightest stars of the Valley.

“Every venue brings a little different flavor; Every coach brings a little different flavor, and the cool thing, last year, was we had players on every show,” Loeffler said. “I think that really made it more exciting for the fans — the people who come out to The Point — to meet the players, to get a feel for their personalities on and off the air.”

For those who cannot make it to the live show, fans can listen live on FOX Sports radio in Fresno (1340 AM), Bakersfield (970 AM) and Stockton (1280 AM). Fans can also listen live on the GoBulldogs app and on the Varsity app.

Fans will also be able to listen to the Bulldog Football Hour show on-demand as a podcast on the iHeartRadio mobile app and via GoBulldogs.com’s podcast hub.

Loeffler added that the one night the show will not be hosted at The Point is the week the Central Valley Honor Flight returns from Washington D.C. That week Loeffler will host a celebration for veterans returning from the US Capitol in recognition for their service.”

Mary Coveney Benotti, a longtime Fresno State fan and frequent attendee to the show said that she has won several prizes at past shows, including yard signs and tailgate tickets to games.

“It’s almost like a pre-tailgate atmosphere,” she said. “There’s energy there, people are excited for the football game[s] coming up…it’s kind of nice to be with a group of like-minded people.”

Benotti, who also hopes to attend the shows this year as well, said it’s a great opportunity to interact with coaches and like-minded fans, adding that Fresno State Football-related clubs and organizations like the Quarterback Club are frequently at the show as well.

“It makes people feel closer to the team, like they’re part of the family,” Loeffler said.

Earlier this spring, The Point underwent renovations, remodeling their banquet area and patio space.

The Point Patio Bar & Bistro is located at the corner of Willow and Nees avenues at 2940 E. Nees Ave., Unit 107, in Fresno. The Bulldog Football Hour starts tomorrow at 6 p.m. and runs throughout the football season, including a possible Mountain West Conference Championship and potential bowl game shows.
