Fresno’s newest Target location will celebrate its grand opening Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Fancher Creek Town Center.
The store, which broke ground in 2024 — along with a Sprouts store expected to open in 2026 — will boast approximately 148,000 square feet of space and is expected to employ over 200 team members.
It’s located near Clovis and Tulare avenues.
Fresno’s Fancher Creek Target will also feature 13,000 square feet of fresh and affordable grocery selections, as well as essentials and pantry staples. The store will also include a Starbucks Cafe and CVS Pharmacy, as well as a wide assortment of Target and national brands.
The Fancher Creek Target is one of more than 300 new stores the corporation looks to build over the next ten years. Target has been overhauling its shopper-friendly services with upgrades in their same-day drive-up, pick-up and same-day delivery options through the Target Circle 360 membership program.
Two liquor licenses were recently approved for the Target location — one Type 21, allowing retail stores to sell beer, wine and distilled spirits, as well as a Type 86, which authorizes the tasting of beer, wine and distilled spirits. The only other California Target locations holding a Type 86 liquor license are located in Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands and Menifee.
Fancher Creek, whose owners also manage the River Park and Campus Pointe shopping centers, will also feature an In-N-Out Burger, PetSmart and Michaels, as well as local restaurants and will also connect to Fresno’s transit system.
