Superior Dairy, one of Hanford’s most popular locations, officially has new owners.

Just who the buyers are hasn’t been publicly revealed, but an announcement is anticipated soon.

Ryan Portugal, the listing agent, posted on his Facebook page last night that he was excited about the sale’s completion.

“As I reflect on the recent transition of Superior Dairy, my heart is filled with immense gratitude. I want to express my deepest thanks for trusting me with this cherished family business. It’s not just a business; it’s a beloved institution that holds a special place in the hearts of so many. I am truly grateful to have found the best people to carry this legacy forward, ensuring that it continues to thrive and evolve within our community,” Portugal wrote.

Portugal, who graduated from Hanford High School, also added that Superior Dairy has been a key part of his life since he was a kid.

“This sale has been a bittersweet journey for me. Since I was about twelve years old, Superior Dairy has been woven into the fabric of my life. It’s a place where I learned the values of responsibility and hard work and where I forged lifelong friendships. This transition was not merely about securing the true value of Superior Dairy; it was about entrusting it to new owners who understand its significance to our community and possess the vision to ensure its legacy continues for another 95 years and beyond.”
