If you’re looking to land a job in the accounting industry, Fresno might not be the best place to put down roots.

That’s according to a new study by Blackline, a provider of finance and accounting cloud software.

Examining data from Glassdoor, a website that allows current and former employees to anonymously review and share information about companies, Blackline determined that next to El Paso with 105 open positions, Fresno had the second-least number of accounting jobs with 125.

The findings were based on the top 50 cities in the U.S.

New York was the city with the most accounting jobs available, with nearly 4,600.

In terms of ratings by current or former employees, Fresno came in at No. 5 for the lowest average category rating with 3.26, with Albuquerque having the lowest average category rating of 3.2.

San Francisco had the highest average category rating of 3.67.

Glassdoor allows people the option to rate a company in categories including compensation and benefits; culture and company values; career opportunities, work/life balance; and senior management.
