The Fresno Oral Maxillofacial & Dental Implant Center has announced that three students have been selected for its second annual Wisdom For Wisdom program. These students will receive complimentary surgery to help with their college expenses.
One of the candidates chosen was Blanca Sicarios, a mother of two and a full-time student at Fresno State, where she also works part time, who has struggled with pain from her impacted wisdom teeth. Another Fresno State student, Taleen Issakhanian, was selected for treatment, as her third molars are shifting the other teeth in her mouth. Issakhanian is paying out of pocket for her education.
Miles Olson, a Clovis North graduate, was also selected. Olson plans to attend Marymount University in Virginia to study computer science and play for the men’s volleyball team. He is saving money for he move and to pay for tuition and textbooks in the fall.
