The Fresno Grizzlies released its 2023 promotional calendar Tuesday, welcoming new and unique promotions including a familiar face to fans of the TV show “The Office.”

Famous Sitcom Night will feature an appearance by Leslie David Baker — Stanley from “The Office” — on Sept. 8. The night before, on Sept. 7, is “Swipe Right” night. There will also be the return of fan-favorite promotions including two “Bark in the Park” games (fans can bring their dogs) on April 16 and May 14, Star Wars Night on May 12 and Fresno State Night on Aug. 28.

It all starts with a fireworks show at the Grizzlies’ home opener on April 11, with fireworks planned for every Friday home game as well as the July 4 matchup against rival San Jose Giants.

Other promos scheduled this year include My Job Depends on Ag Night (May 16) and Fresno Tigers Tribute night (June 16).

“We are very proud of this season’s promotional calendar and excited to bring a wide variety of entertainment and fun to Chukchansi Park in 2023,” said Grizzlies President Derek Franks. “With baseball less than 50 days away, our entire staff is eager to welcome our incredible fanbase back to the ballpark when gates open on April 11.”

This year will also celebrate Minor League Baseball’s (MiLB) Copa de la Diversion, transforming the Grizzlies into the Fresno Lowriders on May 27, July 22 and Aug. 26 to celebrate the unique cultural values of MiLB teams and their local Hispanic and Latino communities. This will be the fourth year the Grizzlies have donned the purple caps and jerseys as the Lowriders.

“This year, our Lowrider nights are spread throughout the season to increase the reach of the celebration and tie in closely with other promotions on our overall promotional calendar,” said Jonathan Bravo, director of marketing and communications for the Fresno Grizzlies.

In all, the Grizzlies will present 37 promo nights with various giveaways throughout the season, as well as 13 fireworks shows.

The Grizzlies open the season on the road against the San Jose Giants on April 6 before returning home for its home opener against the Stockton Ports on April 11 at 6:50 p.m.. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. and will be available online starting at $12. Other ticket and suite options can be purchased online or by calling (559) 320-8497.

A full list of the season’s promotions can be found at the Grizzlies website.
