In anticipation of Father’s Day, Workforce Connection’s FatherHood Program invites the community to Father Fest. This free event is for fathers and their families and will be held on Saturday, June 10, from 9-11 a.m. at Workforce Connection, 3170 West Shaw Ave. Suite 101, in Fresno.
Our national award winning FatherHood team has a program designed to provide fathers with an array of tools to be a more productive person, partner, and parent. This includes creating a healthy relationship with their children and the mother of their children while developing their professional and personal skills.
The event will feature a community resource fair, free food and drinks, a fun kid zone, free haircuts, demonstrations for dads, and workshops on a variety of topics related to fatherhood.
The community resource fair will feature a variety of organizations that provide services to fathers and their families. These organizations will be on hand to provide information and resources on a variety of topics, including job training, education assistance, parenting support, autism resources, health services, and more.

The first 200 people to attend Father Fest will receive a free Tri Tip sandwich and Kona Ice . There will also be a variety of other food and drinks available for purchase. The fun kid zone will feature a variety of activities for children, including face painting, games, and crafts. Fernandez Barber College will be on hand to provide free haircuts for dads and their sons.
There will be a variety of interactive demonstrations for dads, including how to change a tire and how to change a diaper. In addition, there will be a variety of workshops on a topics related to fatherhood, including:

— Family Law
— Parenting Skills
