DepositAccounts, a bank account comparison website, has named Security First Bank one of the Top 200 “healthiest” banks in America.
DepositAccounts this week released the 2016 edition of its Top 200 Healthiest Banks in America and Security First made the list at #117 out of 6,199 total federally insured banks.
Headquartered in Fresno, Security First is the 177th largest bank in the state of California and the 4,023rd largest bank in the nation.
As of Dec. 31, 2015, the bank had $104 million in total assets.
Security First was established in 2007 and as of December 2015, had 19 employees at its Fresno branch located at Palm and Nees avenues.
DepositAccounts recognized Security First, in part, because the bank’s money market rates are currently 14 percent higher than the national average. The bank also boasts an A+ health rating.
Earlier this year, Security First announced that it would merge with Los Angeles-based SunPac Financial, an agreement that will help provide capital for the bank’s planned expansion of business within the Fresno market. The merger is expected to close by the end of the second quarter of this year.
