Second Lady Karen Pence will visit Naval Air Station Lemoore (NAS) Wednesday as part of her awareness campaign to elevate and encourage military spouses.

Pence, wife of Vice President Mike Pence, launched the awareness campaign last fall and has since been traveling the country and world to address military spouse employment challenges and potential solutions.

“Military spouse employment is a very important aspect of a strong and resilient military family,” Pence said. “If spouses aren’t happy, then service members will leave the military sooner, and we don’t want that to happen. We are working hard to improve employment opportunities for military spouses.”

Karen Pence’s visit to the base coincides with her husband’s fundraising trip to Coalinga and Lemoore this week.
