The Save Mart Companies are joining forces to offer customers the opportunity to return eligible Amazon purchases at its California and Nevada store locations starting next year.
After a successful pilot program in 15 stores, the company announced expansion of the services to all stores by the end of December, with remaining stores receiving return kiosk services by February 2026.
The pilot program caught the attention of shoppers, showing a measurable increase in both in-store traffic and sales when compared to non-participating locations, according to a news release from Save Mart.
“The reality is, returning an item has become a routine part of the online shopping experience, especially after the busy holiday season,” said Tamara Pattison, chief digital officer of The Save Mart Companies. “With this rollout completing just in time for the post-holiday return rush, our stores throughout California and Western Nevada are positioned to make returns as easy and convenient as possible for the millions of online shoppers we both serve.”

The program allows shoppers to return eligible Amazon items in-store without a shipping box, tape or label required. Bags and labels are provided in-store when customers scan a QR code. Amazon customers will be able to select Save Mart, Lucky or FoodMaxx as their drop-off locations.
Additionally, The Save Mart Companies will soon offer shoppers a $5 discount on purchases of $25 or more when customers use Amazon return kiosks on the same trip. Customers will be able to receive the offer by showing their Amazon return confirmation at checkout, or by scanning a QR code on the kiosk screen.
“Our customers want flexibility in how and where they return items, and this collaboration with The Save Mart Companies offers them more choices,” said Amazon Director of Worldwide Returns Bryan Puckett. “We’re thrilled to extend label-free, shipping box-free returns to communities throughout California and Western Nevada, making it easy for customers to return items to Amazon during their shopping trips”
