Mathews Harley-Davidson in Fresno will host a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) RIDE Day this Sunday, giving first-time riders a chance to experience free, hands-on coaching.

The event will give riders a chance to ride a motorcycle in a controlled environment , and give experienced riders the opportunity to test their skills on their own motorcycles with more advanced exercises.

“Many people are curious about motorcycling but don’t have the right opportunities to try it,” said MSF’s Director of Rider Education Expansion Corey Eastman. “We want to make sure people who want to try riding do so with the proper safety gear, using the right-sized motorcycles, and with professional coaches to guide them step by step.”

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Sunday, May 18, at Mathews Motorcycle Training Facility at 1516 W. Dan Ronquillo Dr., in Fresno. MSF-certified RideCoaches will be present with motorcycles, helmets and coaches available free of charge.

A separate area for current riders to assess their braking, cornering and low-speed control will also be provided, with on-site coaches providing feedback and discussing advanced training opportunities.

“With May being Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, this is a perfect opportunity to reach out to the motorcycling community and the general public to put a spotlight on safety,” Eastman said.

Additional information is available at the MSF website.
