Summary of Ordinance No. 2020-04 of the City of Fowler

Pertaining to Prohibited Smoking in City Facilities, Vehicles, and Parks, and Amended Definitions in the City’s Tobacco Retailers’ Regulations.

On August 18, 2020, the Fowler City Council adopted an ordinance amending certain provisions of the Fowler Municipal Code and adding Chapter 24 to Title 5 of the Fowler Municipal Code. This Ordinance will prohibit smoking in all City owned and operated facilities, vehicles, and parks, and updates the definitions for “tobacco paraphernalia” and “tobacco products” in the City’s existing tobacco retailers’ regulations (Title 5, Chapter 20 of the Fowler Municipal Code). Ordinance No. 2020-04 was adopted by the City Council on August 18, 2020, by the following vote: Ayes: Cardenas, Hammer, Kazarian, Parra, Rodriquez. Noes: None. Abstain: None. Absent: None.
