A milk giant, a skate shop, a cookie purveyor and more have joined forces with a well-known advertising campaign to a host a skateboarding event in Fresno on Saturday.
“Bones Love Milk,” an initiative of the California Milk Processor Board’s time-tested “Got Milk?” campaign to spotlight milk as an energy source for tweens and teens, is hosting the first-ever Give Back Bash at Lions Skate Park on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The park in northwest Fresno is located at 4650 N. Marks Ave.
Bones Love Milk is partnering with Fresno-based Producers Dairy to host the event, which will include locally sourced milk, cookies, skating, games and food trucks. The Bones Love Milk campaign is also donating $10,000 to Fresno Skateboard Salvage, which gives free skateboards and accessories to underprivileged kids in the Valley.
Other local brand partners behind the event include Dad’s Cookies, Prodigy Boardshop, Fresno Street Eats, the Fresno Fire Department and Fresno Fire Chiefs Foundation.
The event will feature a skating demonstration by legendary professional skater Christian Hosoi, Olympian Bryce Wettstein and more.
There will also be milk products to sample along with family-friendly games. Prizes will be provided by Prodigy Boardshop in the Sierra Vista Mall.
A spokesperson for Producers Dairy said Bones Love Milk skateboarding events are popular in Southern California, so they wanted to bring them up to the Fresno area as a “community give back.”
