Clovis natives Loveleen and Talwinder Baghri have partnered on a development deal with Port of Subs for a 10-unit franchise expansion coming to the Central Valley later this year.
The first location opens in Modesto in late 2025, with plans for future stores in Fresno and Clovis.
The Baghris plan to open their first Port of Subs location in Fresno County between 2026 and 2027, with plans to establish up to seven locations in the coming years in the Central Valley. Loveen and Talwinder are interested in future locations that are easily accessible with excellent visibility.
The Baghris have experience in leadership, operations, and large-scale project management. Both have experience in e-commerce companies while bringing additional expertise in people management, corporate strategy and community connection.
Each Port of Subs location will employ approximately 10-15 team members, depending on daily operations and location size. They look forward to hiring locally and building a team environment where staff feel valued and excited to grow through professional development opportunities and hands-on training. Loveleen and Talwinder have served in fast-paced industry leadership roles, showing them the importance of creating a positive workplace culture where employees feel good about coming to work daily, they said.
Loveleen and Talwinder understand that consumers are pulling back on spending in the current economy. They said the Port of Subs brand offers customers an affordable meal made with high-quality ingredients that won’t compromise families’, students’ and professionals’ budgets. Customers can count on friendly and welcoming service, a clean environment and a focus on serving customers so they keep returning.
Port of Subs has partnered with Area 15 Adventures — led by Dave Liniger, a RE/Max co-founder — and has embarked on a growth campaign with 450 new units currently in development.
