In California, United Valley Insurance Services’ board of directors has elected Rene Swan as president effective Aug. 1. Swan assumes this role after leading day-to-day operations as vice president.

She joined United Valley in 2011 as member marketing manager, was elected as vice president in 2013 and has led day-to-day operations since. Rene brings 27 years of experience from both the company and agency side. Prior to joining United Valley in California, she was a territory manager for Safeco Insurance from 2006–2009, and regional sales manager for MetLife Auto & Home from 2009-2011.

NONPROFITS

The Marjaree Mason Center board of directors has selected Nicole DiBuduo Linder as its new executive director. Linder most recently held the position of senior development officer at Valley Children’s Healthcare Foundation, California, where she was responsible for securing philanthropic support for Valley Children’s Healthcare. Prior to that, she served Fresno Pacific University for 11 years in various positions within fund development.

EDUCATION

The California Teaching Fellows Foundation is pleased to announce it has added two new members to its board: Dr. James Marshall, dean of graduate studies at Fresno State and Ivonne Der Torosian, regional vice president for the Hospital Councils of Northern and Central California.
