59DaysofCode, Chevron and Californians for Energy Independence (CEI) are sponsoring this year’s West Hills Tech Expo as a way to continue promoting careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to middle school, high school and college students.

The Expo, which will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. today at West Hills Community College, will showcase students who have completed the Geekwise Academy Job Readiness Program in partnership with Chevron. Students in the program learned in-demand skills that apply to robotics, gaming, website development and applications.

Middle, high school and college students from Coalinga, Huron and neighboring communities are invited to the Expo to learn about Geekwise Academy and careers related to technology and energy. Members of the public are also welcome to attend.
