As part of its reopening plan, Madera Community Hospital owner American Advanced Management is hosting a job fair Saturday and Monday at the 1250 E. Almond Ave. campus.
The fair on Saturday, Oct. 19, will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The second part on Monday, Oct. 21 will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The hospital has been closed since January 2023. A bankruptcy judge approved a plan in February for Modesto-based American Advanced Management, Inc. to operate the facility — made possible with a $57 million emergency loan for distressed hospitals from the state.
In January, Madera Community Hospital officials reported to the state that 772 permanent layoffs resulted from the closure of the facility. When it reopens, it will not include a maternity ward as before.
Onsite interviews will take place, but applicants are encouraged to apply online before the job fair.
Madera Community Hospital is interviewing for all open position across various departments. Positions listed include chief nursing office, pharmacy director, chief financial officer, admissions specialist, housekeeper and more.
The hospital is also seeking candidates for its first community advisory council, to offer recommendations to ensure policies, programs and services meet the needs of the community. To apply, complete the survey.
