The National Federation of Independent Business has released its voting record for the 2021-22 legislative session, with the Central Valley delegation’s marks mostly dependent on whether they have a “D” or “R” after their name.

Lawmakers were graded on 11 bills impacting California small businesses that were voted on in both chambers. The bills being considered include AB 257 establishing the Food Franchise Standards Council; AB 1949 Unpaid Bereavement Leave, AB 2183 Farm Worker Elections, AB 2188 Cannabis Testing in the Workplace and AB 1951 Manufacturer Tax Credits.

Republican Sen. Andreas Borgeas, representing the 8th District, had a 100% voting record with the NFIB. Republican Shannon Grove in the 16th District had an 88% record Democrat Anna Caballero, representing the 12th District, had a 25% record, while Democrat Melissa Hurtado in the 14th District had a 33% record.

Over in the Assembly, Democrat Joaquin Arambula in the 31st District had an 18% voting record. Republic Frank Bigelow in the 5th District had a 100% record. Democrat Adam Gray in the 21st District had a 50% record. Republican Devon Mathis in the 26th District had a 90% record. Democrat Jim Patterson in the 23rd District had a 100% record. Rudy Salas in the 32nd District had a 25% record.
