The Sinclair Broadcast Group announced Monday that Susan Connor has been named vice president and general manager of KMPH and KFRE, the Fresno and Visalia regions’ FOX and CW broadcasting affiliate.

It’s the position previously held by Matt Morse, who served as general manager since January 2020.

 

Prior to her appointment by Sinclair, Connor served as vice president and general manager of KTVL (CBS) in Medford, Oregon. Connor held that position since joining Sinclair in 2019. Connor also served as VP/GM for Cox Media Group in Memphis, TN — a position she held for two years prior to joining the Sinclair Broadcast Group in 2019.

“After three years as the VP/General Manager in Medford, OR I am honored and humbled to be promoted within the company to our great group of stations in Fresno, CA,” Connor said. “I look forward to joining the amazing team at KMPH and KFRE and building great relationships in our local communities.”

Connor is a graduate of Wichita State University, where she received her BA in advertising and public relations.

“Susan has a track record of growing stations, and we saw great success under her leadership at KTVL in Medford,” said Rob Weisbord, chief operating officer and president of broadcast at Sinclair. “We are thrilled she will be shifting her skills and business acumen to Fresno to oversee the team at these stations.”
