Noble Credit Union, one of the Central Valley’s largest credit unions with over 100,000 members, celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters in north Fresno on Thursday, July 24.

The new, bigger headquarters are located across the street from Woodward Park at 7 River Park Pl E. The former headquarters were on Shaw Avenue.

In total, Noble Credit Union has over 225 employees with over 100 working at the new headquarters.

In 2017, it changed its name from Fresno County Federal Credit Union to Noble Credit Union.

As of 2023, Noble Credit Union reported $1.2 billion in assets, making it the second-largest credit union in the Central Valley behind Educational Employees Credit Union, which reported $4.6 billion.

A new branch will be located across the street from the new headquarters as well, giving Noble Credit Union nine offices in the Central Valley. According to its website, the new branch will serve as the company’s flagship branch.

The event served as an introduction for some to Noble Credit Union’s President and CEO Angelino “Gino” Cayanan, who stepped into the role in 2023 following the retirement of longtime CEO Susan Ryan.

“Our move here wasn’t just about space, it’s about our future,” Cayanan said. “This new headquarters provides not only a modern, flexible workspace for our team, but also a stronger foundation to better serve our members through the Central Valley — not just today, but for years to come.”

Cayanan gave credit to the board members, senior leadership team and the staff as the driving force behind the new headquarters.

“To the entire Noble team, thank you for bringing our values to life every day,” he said. “The Noble Forward initiative is our commitment to innovation, service and growth.”

Noble Forward is Noble Credit Union’s initiative to modernize branches, expand ATMs and enhance experience through accessibility.

Karen Bosch Cobb, board chairperson and a Noble leader since 1984, said the new building is more than just a physical investment.

“This represents more than a building,” Cobb said. “It’s a reflection of our long-standing values, our integrity, our service and our commitment to our members and our community.”

Fresno City Councilmember Nick Richardson, who represents District 6 where the headquarters is located, said his relationship with Noble Credit Union began when he first opened his account when he was just 11 years old.

“Everywhere I go, every country, I carry this card with me,” Richardson, a Marine, said, holding up his debit card. “It’s a piece of home that I get to take with me– a piece of 11-year-old Nick that follows me everywhere I go.”

Richardson also praised Noble Credit Union’s focus on financial health as part of the broader community well-being.

“People often think of nutritional health or dietary health or physical health, but financial health is a huge part of that,” he said. “It’s inspiring to have a partner like this in the city of Fresno.”
