Clovis Me-n-Ed’s On Tap to debut with penny-per-ounce beer special

Me-n-Ed’s newest On Tap location at 765 N. Temperance Ave. in the Clovis Research and Technology Park is hosting an unheard-of beer special for its reopening — a penny per ounce from 4-5 p.m. this evening.
Me-n-Ed’s On Tap is a new concept that features a self-pour tap wall that communicates with a customer’s wristband, which can be loaded with money and tracks ounces poured. The so-called iPourIt system first debuted in Fresno a year ago, with the first Me-n-Ed’s On Tap location at Bullard and West avenues.
Festivities for the new Clovis On Tap location run through 10 p.m. today, with live music from 5-8 p.m. The one-hour On Tap special will be for “Ed’s Red Beer,” which is brewed especially for Me-n-Ed’s by Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Co.
Also from 4-5 p.m., customers can steal the glass they pour their beer into (while supplies last).
The location will also debut a new menu, which includes items such as carnitas nachos and loaded tots, in addition to Me-n-Ed’s classic pizza.
Fresno-based Milano Restaurants International, parent company of Me-n-Ed’s, has also debuted its On Tap restaurant concept at a location in Bakersfield, and it is coming soon to the Tower District location in Fresno.
